All Goring residents,of all age groups, and their families are invited to the Annual Meeting of the Parish in the Village Hall, Saturday 18 May, from 6 to 8pm.
The meeting is an opportunity for you to find out more aboutGoring’s many community activities, Parish Council projects and future plans and developments.
Representatives of the many clubs, societies and services active in our village will be showing what they do and how to get involved.
Highlights of the evening will include:
- Options for new children’s playgrounds at the Bourdillon and Gardiner grounds – an example of several options is shown below,tell us which you prefer, they are for you and your children.
- The latest ideas on the future use of Sheepcotfield including an all-weather pitch.
- An update on plans for managing traffic and parking in the village
- Proposals for a natural Burial Ground adjacent to the cemetery
- Update on the Neighbourhood Plan
Goring-on-Thames Parish Council would love to hear your views on what we’ve been doing and where we are going. Please come along and help us to create the village you want.
Local groups participating & confirmed so far include Tennis Club, Croquet and Bowls Club, Sailing Club, Goring Robins, Goring Gap Walks, Goring & Streatley Golf Club, Green Fingers, Goring in Bloom, History Society, Probus x2, Wine Society, U3A, Goring Textile Group, The Hub, Goring Cycling Club, Goring Chamber Choir, Community Centre and MIGGS (Mobility Issues Group).
Please save the date and time in your diary and bring along your family and friends. You can view the various exhibitions at your leisure and refreshments will be available during the event. More details will be provided over the next few weeks.
